University of Pennsylvania Financial Aid

University of Pennsylvania Financial Aid resources for international undergraduate students are limited, and Penn practices need-aware admissions for students who are not citizens or permanent residents of the U.S., Canada, or Mexico. International students must apply for institutional need-based financial aid at the same time they apply for admission to Penn.

Application Requirements for University of Pennsylvania Financial Aid

  1. Submit the CSS Profile online to the College Board. The 2024-2025 CSS Profile is available beginning October.
  2. If your parents file a tax return in their country of residence, both the original and a translated copy of the return (if not in English) should be uploaded.

Eligibility for University of Pennsylvania Financial Aid

 Eligibility for these scholarships often depends on factors such as:

  1. Student’s high school performance, standardized test scores, or involvement in extracurricular activities.
  2. Applicants must apply for financial aid at the same time you apply for admission. International students cannot apply for financial aid after being admitted. 
  3. Should demonstrate financial need by submitting a CSS Profile.

  • Early Decision:  November 6, 2023
  • Regular Decision: February 1, 2024
  • Transfer: April 11, 2024
